Ask. Trust. Give thanks. Simple right

Maybe this is a second doctoral program advanced learning about life death marriage mothering family faith patience prayer. My degree will be Doctor of Life and I will be in good company. So many of us earn our Doctor of Life degrees.

Prayer is not as complex as it may seem. When we are at a loss for words sometimes the simplest thing to do is make a mental list of all the good things in our lives family friends pets etc. and with a grateful heart just say Thank you God.

For every person who closed the door in my face thank you. For every person who told me I wasnt good enough thank you. For every person who laughed and told me that I was wasting my time going to college because I was going to fail thank you. For every person who tried to break me thank you. For every person who took my kindness for weakness thank you. For every person who told me I was wasting time chasing my dreams because I would fail thank you. It could of broke me. From the core of my heart I thank you. I truly mean it because if it werent for each of you I wouldnt be who I am today. I wouldnt of spend hours and loss sleep studying. I wouldnt developed tough skin. You pushed me to think about what I really want out of life. You pushed me to master my craft. You helped me develop the drive passion and determination. You pushed me to not wait for someone to believe in my vision but to find a way to make things happen. I know you didnt intend to but I thank you for teaching me to believe in myself AND you taught me to TRUST in God and lean on my faith not man. Thank You

I had a dream about you. I had a flat tire on the interstate which is really embarrassing for a hitchhiker who is using that tire as a substitute for pants. You were the only person who offered to give me a ride and I am grateful even though you pulled over at first because you thought I was a hooker.

Let our heart glow when you pray.Let our souls innermost desire and need flow in silence gratitude and humble petition.Let our daily prayers be a life attitude not only when we are in trouble but never forgetting to include all others who are also in difficulties.There are times prayers cannot change things for us but we grow and change with faith and strength patience and serenity with a heart that extends for others.

Work filled with inspiration is worship. A heart filled with courage is unbreakable. A life filled with gratitude is fulfilled.

I had a dream about you last night. You set a timer on in the bathroom to prove how long it takes me to get ready. So I shaved your legs made up your face and gave you lashes. An hour later you thanked God for not making you a woman.

You pray in your distress and in your need would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.

If the only prayer you said was thank you that would be enough.
