For those who want to pray for me to find God please dont waste your prayers. If you really think God is listening to you then please use those precious moments to ask God to care for the sick and dying and leave me out of it. Im happy without my faith and with living my life in the here and now. Besides thousands before you have prayed for me to find God and it hasnt worked yet. Why would God value your request over theirs

I rouse Emily to our guests as she finishes off our fifteenth snowman by setting the head atop its torso. She stands limp at my direction pointing out the coming shadows and I cannot help but hear a muffled sigh as she decapitates her latest creation with a single push of her hand.

I steal one glance over my shoulder as soon as we are far from the foreboding luminance of the neon glow and it is there that my stomach leaps into my throat. Squatting just shy of the light and partially concealed by the shade of an alley is a sinister silhouette beneath a crimson cowl beaming a demonic smile which spans from cheek to swollen cheek.

Maybe if we all prayed for somebody else somehow wed all be forgiven.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for new friends and for this evening of fellowship. We ask that you guide our conversations and that theyll be pleasing to you. We thank you for this food and ask your blessing on it and on the hands that prepared it. In Jesus name Amen

Lord You made us and gave us breath. May we do justice love and mercy and walk honorably before you this day. By the precious name of Jesus I ask for your help to do this. Amen.
