True saints of God have endured lengthy times of patient waiting with no reply not because their prayers were prayed without intensity nor because God did not accept their pleas. They were required to wait because it pleased Him who is sovereign and who gives according to his good purpose Philippians 213

Be open to surrendering all preconceived notions well-thought-out plans and annual to-do lists.

If we want to raise children who will remain faithful to Christ and His Church they need to see fathers on their knees in prayer.

My brothers we have a special and distinct role as Christian men fathers husbands and leaders in the family in the Church and in society at large. If we dont step up we run the risk of seeing our families overrun and absorbed by the surrounding culture. This is not acceptable. Start with prayer. Be faithful be consistent have courage show humility and remember . . . we are made for a heavenly home and not this world.

Somewhere there is a drummer calling to you too and playing your special beat.

When in prayer there is no need to implore beg or repeat. You have been heard and your wishes will be granted perfectly at the right time. Relax be patient and do not fret.

The key to finding your mission lies in listening to your heart and dancing to its beat.

The failure of something it doesnt mean is the end of itits a begging of a challenge

When I write that my own situation in those months of pain and decision can be described as prayer I do not only recall that during that time I sometimes read the Psalms and they became my psalms or that as I have also mentioned I occasionally cried Jesus and that name was my prayer but I mean that I also at times would shout Fuck and that was no obscenity but a most earnest prayerful utterance.In the final analysis no matter what the vocabulary of prayer or where muteness displaces words in prayer the contentwhat is communicated by a person in the world before Godin prayer is in each and every circumstance the same and it can be put plainly in one word HelpThat is the word of Gethsemanes prayer that is the word of the Lords Prayer that is the prayer when Christ repeats the Twenty-second Psalm from the cross.It is the prayer of Christ interceding for all people and it is the prayer of a human creature acknowledging Gods vocation in affirming the life which God has called into being.
